INSTALLATIONS INSTRUCTIONS :
- open AfterStep-1.8.11R2.pkg and follow the instructions

then :
- edit your ~/.tcshrc file to add path to /usr/local/bin and manpath 
to /usr/local/man. Your ~/.tcshrc file should look like this one :
setenv PATH /usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:$PATH
setenv MANPATH /usr/X11R6/man:/usr/local/man:$MANPATH
- type "rehash" (without the quotation mark) to force MacOS X to re-read 
your PATH variable
- type the following commands :
echo afterstep >~/.xinitrc
- start XDarwin
- enjoy !

REQUIREMENTS :
XDarwin 1.0a3
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 55.0.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.4.0, current version 6.4.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.2.0, current version 6.2.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.0.0, current version 6.0.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.6.dylib (compatibility version 6.3.0, current version 6.3.0)
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.4.dylib (compatibility version 4.11.0, current version 4.11.0)

AfterStep-1.8.11R2 for MacOS X is statically linked with the libjpeg, libpng and 
zlib libraries. There is no more need to have the Apple's developer tools and 
fink.

I have compiled AfterStep 1.8.10 on a Power Macintosh G4 QuickSilver 867 running
MacOS X 10.1.3, with the last Dev Tools release (late Feb 2002)

AfterStep-1.8.11R2 pour MacOS X est lié statiquement avec les bibliothèques libjpeg, 
libpng et zlib. Il n'est donc plus nécessaire d'installer les developer tools d'Apple 
et fink.
